Pole To Win International (PTWI) has confirmed the latest additions to its SIDE LA team, and announces promotions for SIDE’s leadership team, following the company’s recent announcement about the launch of its new SIDE LA studio in early 2017. Jacquie Shriver has been appointed as the Head of Studio at SIDE LA, and Todd King joins as Business Development Manager. SIDE founders Andy Emery and Phil Evans have also been promoted, with Emery moving into a new global role, while Evans becomes Managing Director of SIDE London.
Shriver brings 13 years’ experience as a games industry dialogue and audio production leader, including the past three years as Casting and Talent Manager at Sony Interactive Entertainment. Her background lists a roll call of AAA projects including the God of War series, Days Gone from SIE’s Bend Studio, Insomniac Games’ Spiderman PS4 and Ready at Dawn’s The Order: 1886.
Speaking about her move to SIDE LA, Shriver said “I am truly delighted to start this new challenge as Head of Studio with SIDE LA. SIDE has been going through a period of very successful global growth, and I am thrilled to lead the LA team to capitalize on that success and the heritage of Pole To Win.”
King comes to SIDE LA from Magnetic Music Group Inc where he was responsible for Business Development and Operations. He is a digital media and audio production specialist with over 25 years’ experience’ in licensing, publishing and audio engineering across music, film and TV. He has previously held management roles at Sony ATV Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing.
SIDE LA is the second new SIDE studio announcement in 2016, following the launch of SIDE Shanghai in February. Both studios report directly into SIDE’s London headquarters. As part of this latest expansion, PTWI also announces two new roles as a result of internal restructuring: Andy Emery, SIDE’s co-founder and Managing Director, takes on the international role of Senior Director, Global Audio. And Phil Evans, also a SIDE co-founder and current Director of Operations, moves into the position of Managing Director, SIDE London.
Deborah Kirkham, President and Chief Operating Officer of PTWI, stated “SIDE is such a strong performer, the new roles for Andy and Phil are not only thoroughly well-deserved promotions, but they also allow us to develop a global strategic overview for SIDE that best reflects the needs of our clients. With Jacquie, Todd and our growing team of SIDE colleagues in Los Angeles, London and Shanghai, we have now reached an important milestone in the growth and integration of our global audio services within PTWI’s unique global delivery model.”
